An Insider's View - Building the Honeybee House
An Insider's View - Building the Honeybee House

Ever wish you could get an “insider’s view” of what to expect when you build with CraftMaster Homes? You’re in luck! We recently built a home for Emma, who documented the building process in a 5 part series on her blog Our Honeybee Home.

After years of apartment living, Emma and her husband Billy were ready to finally build their dream home. They chose CraftMaster Homes because they wanted a trustworthy builder who could personalize their home with a variety of options.

The style and quality of CraftMaster really stood out to us - the homes felt a little more modern, and there was an attention to detail that can sometimes feel lacking in semi-custom homes.”

  •  Part 1: After meeting with our sales agent to select the perfect plan and home site, they began the process of deciding the features and finishes that would determine the look and feel of their home.

“We specifically wanted to be able to entertain family and friends in our home, so we chose a floorplan that felt open and had a nice flow between kitchen, living, and dining spaces.”

  • Part 2: Construction begins and the house starts to take shape!
  • Part 3: Once the home is framed the couple meets the project manager at the job site to walk through the home and determine placement for lights, electrical outlets, and data connection points (internet/cable).

  • Part 4: Things are really coming along! The home has been drywalled and now has flooring and cabinets installed.
  • Part 5: The final walkthrough of the home, closing, and how to prep for their upcoming move!

Emma’s advice for people considering a new build with CraftMaster:

“Remember that building a custom home means just that ... it's custom to you and your needs! We loved being able to walk in the doors on closing day into a house that was built just for us. We found that CraftMaster was willing to work with us on anything we asked for, and even the smallest changes we made have helped us feel like it's really 'our' home. Remember to ask lots of questions and bring up any hesitations - it's your home and it should suit your needs!”

We truly loved building your home – many thanks to Emma for allowing us to join her on the journey!
