The current health crisis has required us all to make changes to the way we do business, including how we conduct some of our planning meetings. You may be wondering how does it work? How can I review and make changes to my floorplan? How do I choose flooring, countertops, lighting, or cabinets?
Normally, our Plans and Specs, Selections, and Pre-Construction meetings are held at our Design Studio in Mechanicsville. Now, prior to our regularly scheduled plans & specs meeting, homeowners receive a set of plans with structural options for kitchens, baths, and various other options for their home. Then, during a virtual meeting, our team works with homeowners to make any desired changes to their home plans.
At our Selections meeting, homeowners would be able to see and touch all of the options and finishes we offer for their new home. As we all adjusted to social distancing, those meetings have moved online to video calls. For homeowners who wish to see their selections in person before making a decision (or to confirm their choice), our design team will place a sample of the selected options outside the front door of our office. The selections are disinfected before being left outside, and disposable gloves are provided for homeowners who wish to hold or touch the samples. Meanwhile, our design team is available on the other side of the glass door to answer any questions or to help narrow down options. Once a decision has been made and the homeowners have left the area, our design team disinfects every sample that people may have come in contact with. In some cases, we've even had vendors send samples directly to customer's homes!
These changes to our processes are just some of the ways that our team has adapted to ensure the safety of our staff and homeowners while continuing to offer superior service.
