Local couple Mark Paul and Christina Point had a Homearama experience they will never forget. During the 2018 Richmond Homearama event produced by the Home Building Association of Richmond, Mark surprised Christina with a proposal on the back porch of our show home, The Lena.
“I just knew we were going to build a future together,” said Mark about the surprise. While the couple had planned on getting engaged at some point during the year, Mark wanted to find a way to surprise his soon-to-be fiancé. After getting the blessing from her parents, Mark developed an elaborate plan to propose to Christina at the Homearama event that they were attending with friends. The couple and their friends reached the CraftMaster Homes show home, the Lena, at sunset. Mark snuck off to the back deck and waited for Christina to find him. There, on the patio of the show home, Mark got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him.
When we learned of the proposal after Mark posted to our Facebook page, we knew we wanted to do something special for this wonderful couple. We invited the couple to return to the home for a private tour and provided them with engagement photos where the proposal occurred.
"We are so happy that our home was able to serve as the perfect backdrop to Christina and Mark’s love story,” said Jeff Tunstall, President of CraftMaster Homes. “Our company strives to give back to the community as much as possible, and we couldn’t be happier to provide them with photos to remember such a big moment in their lives.”
