Week of Giving

The second annual Week of Giving ran December 5th through 9th, and members of the Mungo teams throughout all nine major markets in which we build used some collective 765 volunteer hours to help out a selected local charitable organization. In addition, approximately $129,300 in donations were presented to selected local charities. Learn more about the organizations each market worked with below.

CraftMaster

In Richmond, team members at CraftMaster Homes supported two organizations with monetary donations. Mustache 4 Kids is a volunteer-run organization founded in 2003, with the goal of raising money for local children’s charities, while growing mustaches. A donation was also awarded to The Salvation Army Angel Tree. In addition, Craftmaster team members used company-allotted volunteer hours to The Salvation Army by sorting toy donations and filling Angel Tree bags for children this Christmas.

In keeping with the Mungo family tradition of giving back, the Mungo Homes Foundation was established with the sole mission of improving the communities in which Mungo builds. Our team helps by providing economic, educational, health, housing and emergency hardship support to individuals in need. A portion of each home sold is contributed to the Foundation, investing in the local community of that home.

Along with the monetary donations made by the Foundation, a huge component of our efforts come from the generous volunteer time of our employees. Mungo team members are provided with company-allotted volunteer hours each year, making it possible for them to comfortably take time to give back to organizations and individuals throughout the year.
